A lof of news!!

Ciaooo belli miei!!! Hello my dearest friends!!

How are you all doing? The summer holidays are getting closer, so what are the plans this year?! Promise me that wherever you might go to, just enjoy it a lot! Because holidays pass really quickly, don't they?!

So, what's going on here in Rome.. really a lot I must say! First of all: It's been so hot this week! During the day, temperature didn't go below 35°.. fortunately I have airco in my room, so at least here i manage breathing! ;-)

Today I finished the article I'm writing for a flemish magazine called 'libelle'. They've got my name and email thanks to the editorial office of Mo Media, who will publish my tourist book. The artcile is called 'La docle Roma' or sweet rome and in it, I descrive 10 spots where you can treat yourself on a very good Italian sweet: the best ice, the best tiramisu, the best coffee, the best breakfast etc..I'm quite happy with the result because I think the places I have chosen, can really appeal to a lot of people! It should get published in august! And then in september my tourist book 100% Rome will be for sale in al bookshops in the Netherlands and in Flanders. Who knows I'll get famous over there! ;-)

so, my dearest friends in Belgium and in the Netherlands: go get my book! The signature, i'll give it you all of you for free! It even has my picture in it! And then, my dearest Flemish mates, somewhere in august you should find my article in the libelle! How funny!!

Then a lot of things happened last week. I wasn't in Rome, but in Val di Sole (north Italy) because the world chiampionships of mountainbike and trial took place over there! Not that I participated, but I went there togheter with my darling friend Joke, to cheer for our Belgian team of sportmen! Her boyfriend does Trial on a very high level, so together with our flag, we did the 'fan-thing!'! We had a great time over there! Wesley finished 15th, but if there was a price for elegancy, he should have won it! He's really a good rider! Great job for all the belgian riders! I feel very pride!

When we wer there, I got a telephone call on my mobile... it was the Dutch School of Rome. I had been there some weeks ago for a job interview, and so I was kind of expecting their call.. and the result is: THEY HIRED ME!!! From september onwards I'll teach there 3 classes, and I'll do some indvidual lessons as well! so in total, I'll be teaching 13 hours a week over there! I'm very excited and very happy I found myself an interesting job here in Rome! Maybe I'll put myself also on the website of the Dutch Royal institute of Rome, as a teacher for Dutch for adults! Then I hope I can continue writing some articles once and a while for some dutch of flemish magazines! so, from september onwards I'll be 'juf/miss sofie'!

Then, in settember, I'll share a room with Manuel! Just before leaving for my holiday in North Italy we had an appointment to go see a flat, so Manuel, Myself and even Joke (who first came to Rome before taking the train to north italy) went to check it out! And we were all quit convinced! The room is very spacious, the flat has internet, the location is 5min walking from the metrostation, and I could save 100€ a month! Of course I like the idea having Manuel close to me! ;-) It will also be e great 'test' to see if we manage sharing a flat together, but I think we'll be just fine! We would live together with another boy, who hopefully will be a pleasant flatmate!

See, a lot of news no?! In less then a month Manuel and I are leaving Rome for Belgium and... Normandy!! we'll be there for almost two weeks, and to be honnest: I can't wait leaving tropical rome for a while! Anyway, during the next two weeks I'll have a lot of visitors passing by! But that's just GREAT!! There is Huei, my ex-classmate in Rome, coming over, and then there are Natalie and Bart!! Soo, how very very very nice!! Then after my visits, i'll start packing my baggs and then 23 july we take the plane! Olééééééééééééééééééééééééééé!!!!!

Well, dearest greatest friends of mine! For those of you in Belgium: I'll write again to let you know when exactly i'll be in Belgium so we can all meet up!! (oooh, I can't wait to see you all again!). For all my darlings around the world: I wish you a very very refreshing summertime!
