The wedding!

Dear dear sweetie pies!!

I think in Nice they are very happy that I finally got to go to the wedding of my dear friends Jenny and Gerrit, since I had been speaking about it for weeks! (and thinking about it for months!!)

So, on friday I left Nice behind and went to Berlin! When I arrived, Kathrin was already waiting for me, so we just jumped into the car and drove direction Berlin East! I felt great to be in Germany, and I couldn't wait to go to the wedding! The 2 of us were really excited! So on friday evening we spent a great evening in Berlin: we went out for a very good (and amazingly cheap) dinner, and then we joined the second half of a very particular but great jazz concert, together with some friends of Kathrin!


The next day we had set the alarm clock at 9.30am, and really, I could jump out of the bed because I just couldn't wait to get dressed and leave for the little village outside of berlin where the wedding was taking place!

We cycled to the bakery for breakfast, had our breakfast and then we got ready! In a bit of a hurry we left Berling, but we arrived perfectly on time! at 2pm the ceremony started, and that was the moment I for the first time saw Jenny and Gerrit that weekend; all dressed up, handsome and a bit moved...

After the ceremony I immediately looked for them to gave him a very very big hug!! It was really nice to see them again after all this time!! They just looked gorgious!


After a nice little glass of champaign outside (that was about the only time the sun shined that day), we had a piece of pie with a nice coffee! People had organized some funny games for Jenny and Gerrit to play, so it was all good fun!
After that Kathrin, Miriam and me went to look for our accomodation for the night: a big nice tent! We placed all our stuff there, blew our matrasses up, and got ready for the evening!

The dinner was very very nice! There was a great buffet (with very german-like things as Knodl und rote grutze). During the whole dinner there were little speeches, films, theatre, singing, ecc that guests presented! Even I presented something in front of my german audience: a little poem I had written in English about our time in NCL!!! It was a great success and got a lot of compliments, which is always nice of course!!

and if that wasn't yet enough, I even caught the brides bouquet... so yes yes, you all know what that means!!

Then by midnight the dancefloor got opened by a multiplying wals! I danced for about 2 hours but then I got sooooo exhausted that I just observed the dancing crowd, till I decided to go search for my tent!

Also the next morning the party hadn't ended yet, because there was a big breakfast waiting for all of us!! So as for ending the wedding, we all had breakfast togethere and left by noon!! It was just wonderfull!!! So thank you Jenny and Gerrit for the great wedding, and thanks Kathrin for the wonderfull hosting!!

Once we got back in Berlin, Kathrin and I did a nice tour by bike trough berlin! I must say that berlin was a nice suprise for me! I think it must be a great city to live.. In the evening we just stayed home, rented us a video and enjoyed our relaxed evening!

The next day I left again for Nice... So yes, this weekend was just great! Only a pitty that it always passes sooo quick!!

Untill next friday I'm still in Nice, but as you may have heard already: then I'm leaving for another 12 days to ROME... and then, yes, finally, I come to Belgium!!! Up for it?? I am more then up fore it!!!
