Dear dear dear sweethearts!!
I know, it has been a while since I last left you all a message (but the last one counted for two, didn´t it?)! It seems that in Rome it there is just no time..
At school we received one week of easter-holidays, which is always very welcome!eventhough my original idea was to make a trip with friends through Italy, I ended up in... BARCELONA! oooh yes, I went to visit my dear mexican friend Santiago over there! (from the 4th till the 8th of april) How great it was! He had organized a whole tour by car towards the north of spain, visiting beautiful villages as Cadaques, Besalu, Girona, etc.. For two days we were on the road, and we spent one night in cadaques before driving back to Barcelona! The last day we stayed in the city, and walked around! Really a magnificent city, and compared to Rome really spacious, clean, structured etc.. Great Great!!
on the day of m return to Rome I fell ill unfortunately, so from the moment I arrived home in Rome I jumped into bed and didn´t come out anymore for the next 3 days.. I just slept slept and slept! Luckely, after 3 days I was only left with a cold, because that day Elke en Freya, my two belgian sweetie pies, arrived for a visit!
We had a great time with "the girls"! It was just like being back in Gent! For 3 complete days we walked around rome, eated, did terraces, talked, laughed, baked pancakes, spoke Italian etc.. Yes yes, Elke and Freya even spoke in Italian with my flatmates on the evening we baked pancakes here at our flat! That´s how they also got to meet Manuel, and... They approved!! Oupphhh!!! really, I enjoyed my visit very much!! (and to be honnest, I think they feel exactly the same!)
On sunday MORNING MORNING they left, so i felt again like the only belgian girl in Rome... Luckely there was not much time to feel alone, cuz on sunday we went out for pic-nic: Valentina, alex, manuel, antonella, diego, vicenzo.. We went to a parc closeby the colosseo! How nice it was with the sun! we stayed for about 7 hours and played the whole time with our beautiful Winkx-football and boomerang (untill manuel destroyed it in all his enthousiasm!). It was really "RELAX". In the evening we were invited at the flat of a friend in Trastevere for dinner, so of course we went! And guess what: we had Barbeque outside on a terrace in the heart of Rome! HOW GREAT!!! it was a lovele evening, with great food, great atmosphere and two great professional tenors who sang especially for me a song in french about La fille Sofie!! What a honnour because they were really good!!
Too bad that the day afterwards school started again! yes yes, after these lovely holidays it takes again effort to wake up in the morning for school! Three days of school has passed now and everything goes well! Since the sun has shined every day since school started, I absolutely go by bike! How great with the morning sun that shines on me! strangely every nice day has always ended up in a horrible storm! Even with hail as big as ... I don´t know: very big! Incredible! Of course we were just outside so we ran into the nearest bar to shelter! I have never seen such hail before! and all this after a day of 25 degrees.. weather has really turned mad!
Otherwise... more news? Ooh yes, tomorrow a group of my Newcastle friends arrive for a visit! Some of them I havn´t seen in more then 2 years so I´m very much looking forward to it!
so I think you can see how time passes here.. Toooooooo quickly! in 6 weeks I´ll leave rome but it will be with much pain.. But let´s not talk about this yet!
