Hello Tutti!!
Come state?? Tutto bene spero!!
Today is sunday, and just as in Belgium this means: RELAX! I just got back from jogging (oooh yes!!! Since a week I started with jogging " the necessary evil" because my trousers are really getting tiny.. Tension everywhere ;-) It´s nice jogging here because we live quite close to Circo Massimo, so we can run upto there, do some circles around the circo, and run back home! Alex and I always arrive back home as two red tomatoes!
Eventhough I love being in Rome, Last weekend I accepted the invitation of Valentina and Federico to join them for the weekend at their home in Luco Dei Marzi (in the area of Abruzzo, 1.40 up east from rome by train!) It was a very nice weekend! We left friday-afternoon and returned on sunday-evening. Valentina just had her birthday so on saturday we went with her friends out for diner! During the day I got a tour through Luco and we went to visit some archeological site nearby! I stayed at Vale´s home so every day I could enjoy the marvellous cooking of Valentina´s mama! Really, last weekend I ate ate ate and ate!! Sooo much but soo good! It was a verz nice weekend, and indeed, after spending the weekend between the mountains in this peacefull little village, Rome seemed all of a sudden even bigger and more chaotic! But in the meantime, I´m again used to it..
At school everything goes well! I´m at level 7 now, but in one week time the real language courses finish.. From next week on I´ll receive real subjects such as Italian culture, politics, economia, etc... I´m looking forward to it, because after doing language courses for 5 months it begins to get a little annoying I must say! On tuesday I´ll take an exam, and based on the result, they´ll put me in the more advanced group or not! LEt´s see what happens!
at our home everything goes very well! thursday, 3 days ago, we organized this big party for valentina´s birthday! That day ti was also the "day of the women", which means that men buy a mimosa for their girlfriends, so we as well, all the girls from our house received a nice Mimosa from our guests! It was really much fun! Giovanna, a friend of Valentina, and I started dancing at 8pm on the music of Elvis, and we didn´t stop till 2pm.. Then I went out with Manuel and two other friends to a club nearby, so I just kept on dancing! Our housparty was really nice.. we had A LOT of food, but fortunately we were with about 25 people! Really nice atmosphere! I´ve put some pics on the other site, so go check them out!
Also last week there was another party at the flat of Manuel. His flatmate Matteo got graduated, so they had organized a nice home-party! Also then we went out to this club Qube to dance a bit more! Very nice evening!
And so time passes verz quickly here in Rome! There is always something happening! Yesterdas-evening I went for example to Manuels home because he was all alone! All the flatmates had left already for the weekend, so we had a diner together and went out to the movies!
I like my life here in Rome very much! Everyday is very different, but that´s how I like it I guess!
