How are you doing?
Even if there is no really big news, I thought it would be nice to write something on my blog! So here I go!
Who thought that the sun always shines in Rome, should reconsider the idea! The last weeks the weather has been very gray and rainy.. and that is something the italians can't handle! They become very noisy and swear more then ever! It's funny to see how they get all wind up for some rain.. I on the other hand stay calm and think to myself: ooh dear, these italians, they really are crazy! After Newcastle and Belgium I really can handle the rain! And if you think of it, very soon it will get very hot again in Rome, so why not enjoy these refreshing temperatures!?
The weekend passed very quickly! Not because we did trips or because we went out.. no no, I really worked a lot! I wrote some long texts to put in my book and I prepared the walks my boss will do when she arrives! Tomorrow morning she lands in Rome, so we'll be walking around the city in the afternoon! Hopefully she'll like the walks I've put together! Then she leaves on thursday, so I can continue writing my texts.
Now on wednesday I won't be able to join her because they are organizing a job fair in Rome, and I've decided to go have a look! You never know someone 'discovers' me and my talents! :-) In the meantime I also got an request form a Flemish magazine Libelle to write an article for them about Rome! Of course I agreed, so that's a nice extra! Who know that maybe, slowly slowly, I'll 'take off'!
Two weeks ago I went again to Luco - manuel's village in Abruzzo - because valentina, my ex roommate and crazy friend, had organized a birthday-diner! It was very very much fun, and after diner we went out in a little city nearby. hihi..I even got to drive the car of a friend of ours because he was getting a little too tipsy! ooh, it was so nice to drive again after all this time! The next day, on sunday, manuel had to play rugby so I went to valentina's home to have lunch. Because the sun was shining we decided to go with the three girls, me - vale - giovanna, to go visit Tagliacozzo, a very beautiful little village! We stayed there for a thee and a walk; and then I left already for Rome!
last week I also organized a diner at my place to celebrate my birthday and the fact that I had found a new room! We had 'raclette' for diner which was quite a new experience for the italians! After trying everything out, we finally managed in preparing ourselves some nice cheese-dishes, so in the end: everyting went well and we enjoyed our diner!

Well, I think I finish here... Thank you very much for all the mails, little messages, cards etc.. They always make my day! REALLY REALLY!!!! (they all hang nicely in my room!!)

het gaat daar heel goed, ondanks de regen. Fantastisch ook dat het vlot met je boek. En als ik je zo hoor, dan heb je het leventje wel, daar in Rome.
trouwens, tof stekje dat je hebt.
Ben je er eigenlijk nog vlot te bereiken? Ik zie je immers niet veel meer online.
Of ja, ik begrijp het: je bent nu een drukke auteur. Een sex and the city leventje :) de wanhoop van alle andere Italianen (behalve Manuel) drukt zich uit in regen! :)
Hier is alles goed, moet slechts halve weken les geven, want de derde graad is op stage. En straks paasvakantie.
hoe ver sta je met je boek? Kan een blitzbezoek er nog bij?

En het is niet alleen in Rome dat de weergoden van zich laten horen, weet je. De alom bekende maartse buien hangen momenteel voor mijn raam.

Hey lieverd,
Een artikel in Libelle, m'n favoriete magazine, elke woensdag in de bus... Het wordt uitkijken geblazen naar een streepje lectuur over "Roma" dus. Laat die pen maar vloeien!
Hier alles OK! Vreend aant stormen voort moment. De katjes lopen wild door den huize, willen naar buiten, maar worden compleet crazy van dat "hondenweertje".
Wat ons huisje betreft: de fundering is gegoten! Ambiance!
Bijna Paasvakantie ook. Daar kijken wij, 2 leraars ontzettend naar uit natuurlijk... Al was het maar voor de Paaseieren...
Oh ja, tot slot dit: ons @fulladsl mailadres vervalt heel binnenkort. gelieve dit deeltje van ons maildres te wijzigen naar @telenet.be. Doe je dit meteen? We zouden het zonde vinden om niet meet van je avonturen op de hoogte te zijn!

Come passa il tempo ... :-) Vedo che stai bene ti rallegri in ogni situationi.
Per adesso sto lavorando in un garage a Coira, si chiamo Ring Garage AG. Il mio lavoro è come segretaria. Mi dispiace che non ho sempre tempo di scrivere, però mi fa piacere quando sento o leggo che tu stai bene.
Oggi abbiamo una festa pero non sto tanto bene. Ho mal di orecchio. :-) Lunedi e Mercoledî sono stata a Lucera a fare un corso per segretaria. Sono stati due giorni molto interessanti!
Quanto tempo resti ancora a ROMA? Mi piaccerebbe venire una volto....
Adesso ti lascio, fai la brava e ci sentiamo presto. Un caro saluto ance a Manuel.
