BUONGIORNO Cari amici miei!
How are you all doing??
It's been more then 4 months since I last put a message on my blog! Well, The reason is very simple: internet didn't work for about 4 MONTHS!! Only in Italy these kind of things can happen I guess! Finally it works again and since my lesson for today got cancelled I thought it would be the perfect time to write again!
Well, as you all know, since september Manuel and I are living together in a flat (Tiburtina-zone), and no, we havn't killed eachother! It's all going very well and it's nice to have him always around! The only disadvantage is that we are not the only ones living in the flat, and sometimes, our flatmate Rosario stresses me a little! ;-) But in the end, we don't see him that much so it could be worse! No No,it's all great!
At work, I'm teaching Dutch as nobdy ever did before! Hahaha! For now, I have 5 adults and 13 small kids which means i'm busy every day, except for sunday! Since january Manuel is also taking class: twice a week, two hours! And I must say, he's doing surprisingly well! That means, he is still following the course and he is even liking it! hahaha!!
In april I have a week of Easter Holidays so I'm going to spend them in Belgium! Manuel is joining as well.
On sunday, when I don't have to work, I always try to do something nice: a small trip out of Rome, a walk in the city, a visit to a museum, go to a concert of whatever! Last weekend for example I did Cross-country skiing (langlauf) at Terminillo, a small town two hours away from Rome! It's really funny because all of a sudden you feel like being in the Alpes instead you're still so close to Rome! I got invited by Dianne (my colleague at the school) and her boyfriend. It was really a lot of fun, but oh my god, it's so tiring! we did 10 km and I was worn out!! And so, today, I'm in pain! All my muscles are rigid! See how sporty I am! ;-)
For my birthday Manuel had organized a suprise and he took me to Perugia in Umbria! It is really a lovely city: Small, nice, peacefull, etc.. we walked through the whole city, visited some places, had a nice 'pranzo di domenica' (=sunday-lunc) and then in the evening we returned to Rome! Reaaaaally a nice day!
regarding Rome: these days it's so funny to walk in the city centre, because it happens often that we see some tourists hodling my Tourist guide '100% Rome'! Since it's pink, it's very easy to recognize! Manuel then always tries to drag me to these people but I escape! hahaha... Now on 12 march, there is an article of mine in the 'LIBELLE', a flemish magazine and it's about all sweet places in Rome: where you can eat the best tiramisu, where you can taste the best gelato, where you can have the best coffee etc... So my advise would be: come over and try it all out!

Leuk alweer te horen dat je het goed stelt! Met je vrolijke ingesteldheid maak je er steeds weer een feest van. Keep on smiling!
Zonder internet zitten is heel frustrerend! Kan ervan meespreken... Jurgen en ik hebben heel wat aansluitingsperikelen met Telenet doorstaan en moesten noodgedwongen enkele weken zonder Internet leven. Vooral voor ons schoolwerk was dat een hel...
Alles gaat prima in ons nieuwe huisje. We zijn eind januari probleemloos verhuisd en voelen ons hier al helemaal thuis. Echt zalig. Je paps heeft het ook al goedgekeurd, want die moest vorige week langskomen omdat ik met een griepje zat.
Volgende vrijdag geven Jurgen en ik een feestje in de Cocteau omdat... we (precies vandaag) 10 jaar samen zijn! Zot hé...
